Cape Town protest against Danish cartoons of the Prophet

The Muslim Judicial Council (MJC) organised the march on 9 February 2006, and drew supporters from major cities like Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban, and even... Boland, a small farming community in the Western Cape. It was the first mass South African response to worldwide Islamic condemnation of a series of 12 Danish cartoons depicting the prophet Muhammad.
